At Homestead on the Ridge, we believe every dog deserves a loving, involved, and forever home. That’s why we offer a guardianship program—an opportunity for local families to become forever homes for one of our exceptional breeding dogs, while being part of our mission to raise the healthiest, happiest Cockapoos in the Fraser Valley.
A guardian home is a special partnership. The dog lives with you as your family pet, while we retain breeding rights for a limited time. This allows us to keep our breeding program small, personal, and home-based—without placing our dogs in kennel environments. It also means our dogs get what they deserve most: a lifetime of love, attention, and stability.
What is a guardian Home?
As a guardian, you provide a safe, nurturing home for one of our carefully selected breeding dogs. The dog lives with you full time, just like any beloved pet. When it’s time for breeding or whelping, your dog will stay with us temporarily, with plenty of love and care. After the breeding career is complete (typically after 3 litters for females), full ownership transfers to you, and your dog is officially and forever yours—no cost involved.

what’s included
As part of our guardianship program, you'll receive a carefully selected, breeding-quality Cockapoo at no cost. This special dog will become a cherished member of your family, while also playing an important role in our responsible breeding program. To ensure your experience is stress-free, we cover all veterinary expenses related to breeding, including health testing and any required reproductive care. It’s our way of supporting both our dogs and our amazing guardian families every step of the way.
